Sarah has been a member of the Partnership since 2005 and is a former Chair.
Sarah has recently retired from teaching at The Arnewood School where she taught Physical Education for 37 years. She also had a role as a community manager where she endeavoured to involve the students and school in community projects.
She helps with the catering at the local craft fairs and Lions events, cooking and serving homemade cakes and refreshments during events in the Memorial Centre and on the recreation ground.
Sarah is an advocate of sport for all and is involved with the New Milton Rugby Club where she is on the New Milton Rugby Club Fun Day committee helping to deliver the ”Have A Go” sports fair and family day each year. She is also a member of the New Forest Hockey Club committee, where she serves as development officer, and recently organised a coaching and umpiring course for players from far and wide.
New initiatives include setting up walking sports for older people who miss playing sport and need a gentler form of the games they love, with a walking netball and walking hockey club now started.
She is also a member of Hale Gardens Tennis Club and enjoying returning to the game.
